Polypropylene - the synthetic thermoplastic unpolar polymer belonging to a class of polyolefins. Propylene polymerization product. Solid substance of white color. Is issued in the form of a gomopolimer and the copolymers received by copolymerization of propylene and ethylene in the presence of metalloorganic catalysts with the low and average pressure, in the form of the granules stabilized, painted or unpainted.
Usual designation of polypropylene in the Russian market - software, but can meet also other designations: RR (polypropylene), PP HO or PP homopolymer (polypropylene a gomopolimer), HIPP (high-isotactic polypropylene a gomopolimer), PP-X, PP-XMOD (the sewed polypropylene), PPCP or PP/Co or PP block-copolymer or PP impact copolymer (polypropylene block copolymer, block copolymer of propylene and ethylene), PPM (block copolymer of propylene and ethylene with the low content of polyethylene), PPR (block copolymer of propylene and ethylene with the average content of polyethylene), PPU (block copolymer of propylene and ethylene with the high content of polyethylene), PPH (block copolymer of propylene and ethylene with very high content of polyethylene), PP random copolymer (statistical copolymer of propylene and ethylene), PP-EPDM or PP/EP (mix of polypropylene and threefold copolymer of ethylene, propylene and a diene), EPP (the foaming polypropylene), EMPP (the polypropylene modified by rubber), MRR (metallotsenovy polypropylene).
The symbol of domestic polypropylene and the copolymers of propylene produced according to GOST 26996-86 consists of the name of the material "polypropylene" or "copolymer" and five figures. The first figure 2 or 0 indicates that process of polymerization proceeds on complex metallorganichesky catalysts with a low or average pressure respectively. The second figure specifies a type of material: 1 - polypropylene; 2 - propylene copolymer. Three subsequent figures designate tenfold value of an indicator of fluidity of fusion. Further through a dash specify number of a compounding of stabilization, then a grade and designation of the standard according to which polypropylene and its copolymers is made.
Identification number of the polypropylene of brand 21020 stabilized on a compounding of the 02, 1 grade: Polypropylene 21020-02, grade 1, GOST 26996-86. At production of the painted polypropylene or copolymer specify by the additional word color and the three-digit number designating number of a compounding of coloring in designation.
Identification number of the polypropylene of brand 21030 stabilized on a compounding 06, painted in red color on a compounding of the 105, 1 grade: Polypropylene 21030-06, red, rets. 105, grade 1, GOST 26996-86.
Proceeding from a polypropylene symbol, having divided number from three last figures in polypropylene brand on 10, it is possible to find PTR and to define the most suitable way of processing of the software concrete brand. PTR < 1 — экструзия; ПТР от 2,5 до 4 — экструзия с раздувом, ПТР 3 и более — литье под давлением. Марки полипропилена и сополимеров пропилена устанавливаются в зависимости от способа их получения, свойств и назначения.
According to GOST 26996-86 polypropylene of low pressure includes eleven brands: 21003, 21007, 21012, 21015, 21020, 21030, 21060, 21100, 21130, 21180, 21230; polypropylene of average pressure includes four brands: 01003, 01005, 01010, 01020; copolymers of polypropylene of low pressure are included by three brands: 22007, 22015, 22030.
But at the market there are also other brands of polypropylene as most of producers works according to own TU.
